A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
One of first built in France by cantilever method, prestressed concrete bridge has three-span continuous frame with spans of 44.7, 81.8, and 44.7 m; deck consists of two box girders, each 3 m wide, with vertical webs of variable height connected by roadway slab, girder depth varying from 4.5 m at pier connection to 1.90 at crown; each of two rectangular piers, 39.6 and 34.6 m high respectively, is made up of three cells with 24 cm thick walls resting on solid concrete footing; deck was built in 15 mo using suspended scaffoldings; piers were slip-formed at rate of 4.4 m/day.
