Arch-truss bridge over deep canyon is being erected by means of stout 1120 ft long cableway which stretches between two 140-ft adjustable towers; use of highline is almost necessity due to 400-ft deep Burro Creek Canyon and permits rapid installation of 1600 tons of A-36 and A-441 structural steel and high-strength bolts being used in bridge structure; each tower has two legs spaced at 32 ft 6 in. c to c and eight backstay lines; backstay lines are anchored securely in 16-ft deep abutments; track cables carry 30-ton capacity load block and trolley.
