Erection of Lewiston-Queenston bridge
Design features and construction procedure of fixed steel arch span bridge across Niagara River, between New York State and Canada; bridge has 1000 ft steel arch with 159 ft rise and steel girder approaches; center to center distance between arch ribs has been increased from 56 ft 2 in. to 61 ft to accommodate wider traffic lanes; depth of arch ribs is increased from 12 ft to 13 ft 6 in. and panels are adjusted to accommodate additional 50 ft of horizontal length.
