Canal is 12 1/2 mi. long with max depth of 145 ft.; available gross head, 315 ft.; width of concrete section, 48 ft.; depth of water, 35-40 ft.; total earth excavation, 13,299,000 cu. yd.; total rock excavation, 4,182, 000 cu. yd.; max. capacity of each turbine, 60,000 hp.; total weight of each complete generating unit, 1,853,000 lb.
