On measurement of expansion device installed on new Fujikawa railway bridge
Device consists of guide and tongue rails and fittings including bed and guide plates, adjustable rail brace; deformation of rail occurs at expansion device installed on track between girders, assuring greater safety by preventing generation of large stresses inside rail body; to examine functions of device, measurements were made of deformation caused by passing train and by temperature variations, and of creep of rails and joint clearance.
