Installation of concrete shaft supports in 100 ft of shaft at Banner mine gave satisfactory permanent installation in section of shaft that had given trouble with conventional timbering; use of rock bolts supporting gunited wire netting around rock walls of shaft prevented sloughing; comparative costs of installation of various types of support.
