A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Chemical grout was injected into locally unstable areas in fractured granite in NORAD Combat Operations Center near Colorado Springs, Col, and results were considered successful because measurements indicated that movement stopped; chemical grout used was specially formulated epoxy resin; polyester resin grout was also tested; both grouts are described; items which should be considered when planning chemical grouting operation, including chemical grouts, equipment, and procedures are discussed; results of laboratory tests are analyzed and recommendations for investigations which would improve results of chemical grouting are presented.
