Flow behaviours at sudden contraction of open channel
Project to reveal transitional characteristics of flow at discontinuities of open channel; some investigations on transitional configurations, form resistance and length of flow separation are made theoretically and experimentally by means of one-dimensional hydraulic analysis and free streamline theory; assuming subcritical flow through sudden contraction as converging and diverging process of flow in confined flow field, hydraulic characteristics of flow at sudden contraction are described. (In Japanese with English abstract)
