Anti-corrosion protection for prestressing tendons
Method, subject of patent application, consists of filling metal ducts which sheath steel tendons with hydrocarbon compound containing volatile corrosion inhibitor; development of Astrolan 39, petrolatum based on selected mineral hydrocarbons and incorporating Motorstor, oilsoluble volatile corrosion inhibitor developed by Astor Boisselier and Lawrence Ltd in consultation with Taylor Woodrow; each reinforcement duct took about 60 gal of compound and pumping was completed in 3 min.
