Street bridge over Rhine at Maxan; 292 m long cable-stayed bridge with 175-m main span and 117-m side span consists of 12 m wide box girder with orthotropic plate top boom; laterally continuous roadway plate with 7.5-12.0-7.5 m spans is flanked by 1.5 m wide foot walks and 2.0 m wide bicycle roads; edge beams of bridge deck are supported every 19.5 m by hollow-section compression bars; main bridge girder is stayed by skew system of cables fixed to 2.4 m& times;2.7×45.0 m high welded steel pylon; structural details, construction methods, stress analysis.
