Concrete blocks used in construction of mole; protection of Spanish port of Gijon-Musel called for construction of mole, material for which had to be brought in by means of 2.1 km-long belt conveyor system (three sections, 650 mm steel-rope belting, 3 m/sec); concrete blocks, weighing between 60 and 80 tons, used in construction of mole, are cast with help of two belt-conveyor-equipped bridges in concrete plant near port; maximum fresh concrete casting rate amounts to 300 cu m/hr; average rate is 100 cu m/hr.
