Strength and behaviour of deep reinforced concrete beams
Results of tests on 12 single span simply supported reinforced concrete deep beams under two point loading on their top edge; variables considered were depth/span ratio, percentage of tension reinforcement and presence of nominal amount of web reinforcement; ultimate loads obtained are compared with values calculated using equations proposed for shallow beams.
