Earthquake response of Ramberg-Osgood structure
Response of single-degree-of-freedom Ramberg-Osgood type structure subjected to strong-motion earthquakes as well as to steady-state oscillations is studied; effects of different earthquakes, and degree of plasticity on response for various ductility and energy ratios are considered; principles and construction of response spectra are examined and family of spectral curves is presented; elastic and elastoplastic results are compared.
