Overflow-type dam diverts water to city
Increase of 50 mgd in Baltimore's water supply is being made possible by overflow type diversion dam of earth fill type with 2.5-ft thick reinforced concrete core; both slopes are lined with 12-in. reinforced concrete; flow in Patapsco river is maintained through 12×5.5-ft box spillway of reinforced concrete.
