Prefabricated cofferdam, consisting of two frames holding double walls of sheet piling, placed successively around piers of Keokuk, Iowa, Municipal Bridge, thus holding back 15 ft of water; pier repair consists in removing deteriorated concrete with pneumatic tools, placing reinforcing bars and pouring new concrete; after repair, cofferdam is moved to next pier.
