Mines d'Aniche (Nord) extract dust from their fines before washing, in order to avoid inconvenience of slimes; dust itself, ranging from 0 to 1 mm., is washed by flotation in Kleinbetink apparatus; apparatus consists of inner agitating chamber and outer separating bowl.
