How caisson placer simplifies mole construction for new Hanstholm fishing harbor in Denmark; caisson placer consists of 600-ton hydraulically-operated portal crane mounted on 600-ton base equipped with two 10-wheel trucks which move along rails laid atop caissons already set in place; crane is self-contained unit fitted with engine rooms, control cabins, hydraulic equipment, pumps, workshops, offices and crew quarters; rig is powered by two 48 kw diesel generators and is designed to withstand wave forces of up to 200 tons.
