Design and construction of tinsley sewerage scheme, Sheffield
Scheme consists of 1.625 yd of outfall sewer of glazed stoneware pipes from 24 to 36 in. diam, and 980 yd of surface water outfall sewer of reinforced concrete precast tubes, 57 to 72 in. diam; siphon at outfall is 100 yd long and consists of two 30 in. diam and one 18 in. diam pipes; siphon design based on D'Arcy formula; crossings under railroads, over Don River, and under Sheffield and South Yorkshire canal.
