Some factors affecting congestion in towns
Methods of visualizing problem of traffic congestion in towns are presented; 5 types of route used in idealized model of town where people worked in circular central area and lived outside it, are considered; effect of density of work places, of road width, of duration of peak travel period and vehicle occupancy, and of combination of factors on road space required are examined.
