Two-particle tunneling between superconductors
Excess currents observed in electron tunneling between superconductors cannot be explained on model assuming tunneling of single particles; excess currents are attributed to processes in which 2 particles tunnel simultaneously through insulating barrier (Schrieffer and Wilkins 1963); conditions for occurrence of various tunneling processes examined, and higher-order processes are discussed.
