By using specially designed cutting torch and feeding mixture of Ca-Si and Al-Mg powders into torch head, high surface quality was obtained on sheet whether slabs rolled from ingots were continuously dressed by abrasives or planed. (see also English translation in Stal in English n 1 Jan 1963 p 61-3)
