Bridge proper carrying two 12-ft traffic lanes in each direction with 3-ft median strip and 3-ft sidewalk on each side, is 10,198 ft long; approaches consist of 137 and 104 reinforced concrete spans, each 41 ft long; bascule span and its steel side spans total 317 ft in length; precast elements were transported by barge to site.
