Freezing test in intense cold of samples of concrete and mortar
Compression, bending and adhesion tests of concrete and mortar with and without Si addition at -30 to -38 deg. cent. to determine requirements for constructing coal-handling plant, etc., at Spitzbergen; concludes that after 7 days' hardening (free from freezing) strength of samples is not particularly damaged by cold of -38 deg., silicon additions are not favorable. (See also - no. 2 Jan. 8 1926, pp. 22-25)
