Wind around embankment
Distribution of wind velocities above and around embankment on test section of new Tokaido trunk line was obtained from field experiment and similarity of air flow between models and actual embankments was confirmed; in neighborhood of overhead contact system, wind velocity over embankment is 1.2 times as large as that at same height above flat plain.
