Melting nickel chromium alloys in oxygen-lanced arc furnace
Production of Kh20N80 and Kh15N60 alloys by remelting of tailings with oxygen blast of bath, results in effective decarburizing, elimination of titanium and increased silicon content; this substantially increases service life and also improves strength and plastic properties. (See also Stal n 2 Feb 1964 p 137-9)
