Describes hydroelectric project of Chelan Electric Co., Chelan, Wash., which is to generate 128,000 hp., comprising reinforced-concrete sluice dam, 39 ft. high, forming reservoir of 640,000 acre ft., also 14 ft. concrete-lined tunnel 2 mi. long, surge tank 13 ft. in diameter, 118 ft. high, Francis waterwheels, 34,000 hp., working under static head of 360 to 415 ft., 30,000-kva. G.E. generators, 110-kv. transmission line, etc.; housing of 1250 construction laborers.
