Washington. Project F-029-1, SR 97, Chelan Vicinity, Chelan to Jct. S.R. 151. Relocation and Construction of SR 97
The proposal is the relocation and construction of 3 1/2 miles of state route 97 as a limited access bypass of the town of Chelan, including two bridges across the Chelan River. The location of this highway segment will have an impact on the ecological systems and environmental character of abutting lands. There will be increased noise and air pollution levels in the residential areas adjacent to the route. Approximately 48 homes, 2 businesses, and one warehouse will be required for right of way purposes. Approximately four blocks of residential housing will be diagonally bisected.
