Installing a drain pipe through a levee without trenching
Description of installation of storm-sewer outlet through levee; levee was used as railroad embankment as well as protection against backwater from Mississippi river and for these reasons it was undesirable to trench through it; 50 ft. of 6-in. Armco paved invert corrugated iron pipe was procured, and Armco jacking method was adopted as most satisfactory method of installation.
