The replaceable bases in the roofs of anthracite seams
Similarity between roofs of bituminous coal seams and roofs of anthracite seams does not support theory that bituminous coal is stage in production of anthracite unless it can be shown that bituminous coal decomposes further under conditions of alkaline roof; it is suggested that during stage preceding formation of alkaline roofs, decomposition of accumulated vegetable materials took place, which resulted in formation of series of different products.
