Two-mile creosoted timber toll bridge over St. Johns River, Florida, financed by bond issue
Steel draw span provides clearance of 125 ft.; with this exception bridge is built entirely of square edge and sound Southern pine, S4S, all of which was pressure treated with coal-tar creosote in accordance with standards of American Wood-Preservers' Association; timber approaches to draw span total 11,375 ft. in length, and have 19 ft. clear roadway; 4-pile bents are spaced on 15-ft. centers.
