Standard describes general methods of testing bitumen that are suitable for specification of bitumen containing compositions used for building, road engineering and electrical purposes; methods are specified for determination of ash, ductility, flash and fire points, fluxing value of flux oil, loss on heating bitumen and flux oil, penetration, softening point, solubility in carbon disulphide, viscosity of cutback bitumen and road oil, and water content.
