Corrosion of corrugated metal culvert in California
Study, based on survey of 7000 highway drainage culverts, to estimate amount of culvert metal lost to corrosion; in various geographic locations only conditions under which tested and observed estimate of culvert deterioration closely agreed was when culvert was entirely corroded, perforated or new; results indicate individual culvert's service life is variable, depending upon environment, and that water flow is potentially corrosive area.
