Foundation elasticity effects in gravity dams
Various static in-situ tests of foundation rock have shown that effective elastic modulus of concrete dam differs considerably from that of solid rock specimens; wide range of elasticity ratios is studied, using finite difference techniques and relaxation solution; applied technique is outlined and results are given; simplified profile of triangular dam, with vertical upstream face and downstream slope of 3/2 was considered.
