Load behavior of eccentrically stressed reinforced concrete compression members -- 2
Influence of assumptions made in part 1 of this study regarding behavior of concrete and reinforcement steel is investigated; for concrete, nonlinear stress-strain relationship was assumed; characteristic values of deformation and failure of both materials were taken from DIN 1045, Dec 1966; dependence of load stresses on material, cross section, and strain parameters is shown by influence curves which are evaluated; simplified reinforced concrete design method is proposed which considers effect of these parameters in linearized form; discrepancies between linearized method and computer calculations are given.
