Reinforced concrete beams under repeated loads
Effect of repeated loads on rotation and load carrying capacity of reinforced concrete beams; comparing results obtained under repeated loading with results obtained on similar specimens under single loading showed that neither rotation nor load carrying capacity is affected by several cycles of near ultimate loading; repeated loading always caused small increase in deformation; rotation capacity of plastic hinge was found to be greatly affected by variations in concrete strength, by variations in position of compression steel, and by variations in restraint provided by stirrup to compression bar.
