Reinforced concrete beams subjected to repeated loads
Deflection of statically-determinate, singly-reinforced concrete beams; viscoelastic stress-strain law for concrete in beam was selected based upon experiments; iterative procedure was developed for numerically solving system of equations; experiments were performed with six beams loaded with concentrated loads at one-third points; loading was applied to beam in cycles ranging from 10 to 30 days duration and then reviewed for same period of time; comparisons of predicted central deflections were made with observed values, and agreement was noted.
