Kincardine-on-forth bridge
Bridge in Scotland is nearly one-half mile long; description limited to work necessary to found and construct piers; bridge consists of central swing span, flanked on each side by seven 100-ft steel spans of cantilever construction; there are three 60-ft steel spans carrying road over L.N.E. Railway, nine 50-ft reinforced-concrete spans, and concrete piled viaduct, 263 ft long. (See also - n 4180 Feb 21 1936 p 196-9)
