Long period oscillations in basins of arbitrary shapes
Equations of continuity and equation of motion for two-dimensional shallow-water waves are transformed into set of difference equations which can be solved numerically to obtain fundamental period and periods of higher modes of oscillation of closed basin of arbitrary shape by computers; data necessary for solution distribution of cross section areas and surface widths along talweg of basin (line of maximum depth); considerations of case of three-dimensional forced oscillations are presented.
