Analysis of Vierendeel truss with inclined chords
General equations for determining redundants of Vierendeel truss with nonparallel chords are derived by principle of least work; by estimating values of two sets of unknowns, procedure is devised to solve these equations by successive approximation; two examples are given to illustrate number of cycles required and magnitude of error involved.
