Codimerization of ethylene with isoprene
Abstract 1. During the codimerization of ethylene with isoprene in the presence of iron acetyl acetonate and tri-isobutyl aluminium. 3-methyl-1,4-hexadiene is chiefly formed which under process conditions is partially isomerized to 3-methyl-1, 3-hexadiene. 2. Process kinetics were studied and the rate, order and activation energy of codimerization of ethylene with isoprene and isomerization of 3-methyl-1, 4-hexadiene to 3-methyl-1,3-hexadiene, calculated.
