Dehydrocyclization of olefins and alkadienes in the presence of alumina-palladium catalysts
Abstract 1. A study was made of aromatization of hex-1-ene, hexa-1,5-diene, hexa-2,4-diene, methylcyclopentane and 1-methylcyclopent-2-ene. 2. The degree of aromatization of olefins increases with an increase in the unsaturation of initial hydrocarbons. 3. The degree of aromatization of hexene and hexadiene in helium is higher than in hydrogen. The degree of C5-dehydrocyclization of olefins, on the other hand, is higher in hydrogen than in helium.
