Isomerization of alkyl thiophens on an aluminosilicate catalyst
Abstract 1. Direct isomerization of 2-alkylthiophens to 3-isomer and inverse isomerization are both possible on aluminosilicate catalysts. 2. An increae in molecular weight of alkyl thiopen reduces its degree of isomerization. 3. The degree of conversion and process selectivity under the same conditions are higher for alkyl thiopens of low molecular weight.
