Height adjustable ladder
Some embodiments relate to a ladder extension and ladder assemblies including such ladder extensions. The ladder extension may be adapted to slidably receive a ladder and extend an operating height of the ladder. The ladder extension may comprise: first and second extension side rails; a first set of one or more rungs extending from the first extension side rail to the second extension side rail; a second set of one or more rungs extending from the first extension side rail to the second extension side rail; and a first securing mechanism to selectively secure a position of the ladder relative to the ladder extension and set the operating height; wherein a rung of the first set of rungs is aligned with and spaced apart from a corresponding rung of the second set of rungs to form an extension step having a gap between the rungs sized to receive a step of the ladder and allow passage of the ladder through the extension step to adjust the operating height of the ladder.
