Height adjustable ladder
A ladder extension 130 is adapted to slidably receive a ladder 102 to extend the height of the ladder. The ladder extension comprises: first and second extension side rails 132; a first set 150 and a second set 152 of one or more rungs extending from the first extension side rail to the second extension side rail; and a securing mechanism to selectively secure a position of the ladder relative to the ladder extension. A rung of the first set of rungs is aligned with and spaced apart from a corresponding rung of the second set of rungs to form an extension step 154 having a gap between the rungs sized to receive a step of the ladder and allow passage of the ladder through the extension step. Also claimed is a ladder assembly 100 comprising a ladder extension 130 and a ladder 102 with a support structure and a platform 192 pivotally mounted to the ladder. The ladder extension may comprise a straight 142 and tapered portions 144 and the ladder may comprise a safety rail 198 and a second set of ladder steps. There may also be a support extension 160 adapted to slidably receive the support structure.
