The present invention provides a device for spacing a roof sheet from a roof purlin, the device comprising: a strip to which the roof sheet can be fixed, a plurality of spacers spaced along and fixed to the strip, each spacer comprising a body and a foot, wherein the spacers protrude at least on alternating sides of the strip.
