The at least one wear portion (60, 160) forms at least one ground engaging edge (68). The wear component (40, 140) further includes a plurality of longitudinally-spaced ribs (70) projecting from the at least one wear portion (60, 160) and connecting to the mounting portion (50). The plurality of ribs (70) are configured to affect a direction of a flow of material passing along the at least one wear portion (60, 160).
