Wear component for ground engaging tool
A wear component (340, 440) for a ground engaging tool (30) includes a mounting portion (350) having a first surface (56), a second surface (54), and a thickness (T4). The mounting portion (350) is connectable to a mounting assembly (34) of the ground engaging tool (30). The wear component (340, 440) also includes at least one wear portion (360, 460) connected to the mounting portion (350) and forming at least one ground engaging edge (68). The at least one wear portion (360, 460) has at least one first surface (66) including at least one groove (390) extending from the at least one ground engaging edge (68) toward the mounting portion (350), at least one second surface (64), and at least one thickness (T5). A maximum of the at least one thickness (T5) of the at least one wear portion is larger than a maximum of the thickness (T4) of the mounting portion (350).
