Demountable boss formed countersunk assembly system
A demountable countersunk assembly system and method of use for joining substantially perpendicular tubular members including a first tubular member with a hole passing through the tube at the location of the join; a boss member adapted to be inserted in the first tubular member in line with the hole; the boss having a countersink forming face; a bolt with a countersunk head adapted to pass through the tube and the boss to engage a nut wherein on tightening the bolt in the nut swages a countersink in the first tube whereby the boss is also held captive in the first tubular member; wherein on removal of the nut, the bolt can be screwed into a threaded stud to connect the first tubular member to a second tubular member.
