A SLIDING WINDOW ARRANGEMENT
A sliding window assembly 10 including a window frame 14 and at least three panes 11-13 disposed within the window frame 14 in offset vertical planes. The panes 11-13 are arranged for sliding movement together upwardly within the window frame 14 or together downwardly within the window frame 14. One or more of the panes 11-13 can be fixed. The panes 11-13 have a fully open position and a fully closed position. In the closed position, respective edges of the panes 11-13 overlap while in the open position, the entire panes 11-13 overlap. The panes 11-13 can be connected to a counterweight arrangement by a pulley arrangement 26-27, which includes a vertically movable balancing weight 25 that is equal to the weight of the panes 11-12, or the panes 11-13 can be connected together to counterbalance each other. .. .. ----- --"- --- ---- -- ---- -C>1 -- --- --- ------- ----------- - ------ "'C
