Combined Freshwater and Greywater tank for mobile applications
A new and unique apparatus for the storage and dispensing of freshwater and for the recovery and storage of the resultant grey water within the one tank without cross contamination. The apparatus includes a solid outer tank (1) which encloses a fully sealed, double wall bladder (2) which encases the fresh water (3). Fresh water is dispensed from the inner bladder through the solid tank via a sealed coupling pipe (4), then the resultant grey water is drained back into the main body of the tank (5) via its own coupling (6). The grey waste first passes over a solids trap (7) and then into the resultant void area of the (5) tank created by the collapsing of the bladder as it empties. There is a vacant space designed within the tank that allows the recovery of 5% more grey water than the available fresh water. This system halves the number of tanks required for any application without increasing the space taken up by the fresh water tanks, whilst also overcoming the dangerous practice of moving large masses along a chassis which can cause instability resulting in crashes with catastrophic consequences. Both the fresh water bladder group and the grey water area are vented via breather connections (8) through the main body of the tank, at the opposite end to the service connections. The grey water is connected to a vertically offset pipe group which acts as a solids trap (9) and is then connected to a flexible hose to which a ball valve is attached. The pipe group can be manifolded together with adjacent tanks to create a bank of tanks to increase volume as required. Figure l
